Celebrate the Trees of Downtown Portland
Saturday, April 19


Portland State University’s Campus Sustainability Office, Portland Parks & Recreation’s Urban Forestry and The Westside Portland Tree Guild will celebrate Arbor Month with a day of fun-filled tree events in Downtown Portland.

 

These events are free and open to the public:


 -  10 am Tree Tour & Walk. Phyllis Reynolds, the author of Trees of Greater Portland, will lead us through a walking tour of interesting trees in the downtown area. Registration and book signing begins at 9:30 am.


-  12:30 pm Tree Planting. Help plant a tree in front of Lincoln Hall’s new entry.


- 6 pm Movie Screening. Brian French, certified arborist and founder of the non-profit organization Ascending the Giants, will discuss his work and screen his documentary film, Treeverse. Doors open at 5:45 pm.


All events be held at or will begin at PSU’s Hoffman Hall, 1833 SW 11th Ave, Portland, Oregon,

(SW 11th Ave. and SW Harrison St.).
